Designed by Vortex Optics, the Crossfire HD 1400 is a versatile and budget-friendly laser rangefinder made with premium materials and advanced technical solutions.
The housing is injection molded from a high-quality, impact-resistant polymer for superb durability and weather resistance. The low weight of 136g and compact dimensions of 101x33mm make it a small and low-profile piece of ranging equipment.
Crossfire HD operates in three targeting modes: normal mode, the first mode, and the last mode:
-“Normal Mode” is the standard mode that displays the result with the strongest range estimation.
-“First Mode” displays the closest distance when ranging. It is ideal for measuring the range to smaller objects in front of larger ones.
-“Last Mode” displays the farthest distance to the target. It is a prime choice for measuring range to target behind trees, bushes, or rocks.
The additional HCD and LOS mode allows the proper ranging in uneven, hilly, or mountain terrain.
The 21mm objective lens glass is layered in an ultra-hard, anti-scratch, and reflection multi-coating. It secures the lenses from oil, dirt, and potential physical damage in the field. The maximal ranging distance is estimated at 1280m, 870m for trees, and 690m for deer and similarly-sized targets. 5x magnification, 16mm eye relief, and 7° view angle at 1000m make the performance optimal in its class.
A single CR2 cap-secured battery provides power for operation and five brightness settings.
